Strawbs for Strawberries
Happy Spring everyone! Isn't this season so lovely! I am so excited for Spring because it consists of sunny skies and warm air, which call for days spent by the ocean or roaming around a garden. Speaking about roaming around a garden, I checked something off of my bucket list! It was such a beautiful day that was simply calling for adventure, so naturally we decided to take the day up on its offer. My friends and I drove out to a farm and picked some scrumptious and vivid strawberries. As soon as you stepped onto the field, the smell of strawberries was inescapable, and quite wonderful. I have always wanted to go pick apples from an orchard or oranges from a grove, seems so fun right? Luckily strawberries are all the rage right now. Last year, I tried to pick strawberries but the season was cut short. I was so thrilled to find out that this strawberry season was still in full swing. I enjoy being in nature and so it was very relaxing and beautiful to frolic around strawberry fields with the sweetest of friends by your side. It looked like we were in a fairytale or Twister (the movie, ha). Two totally different things, I know, but still pretty cool. This adventure was full of bee rebuking (literally the enemy), laughter, sweetness, and irony. The irony in all of this is the following: I don't eat strawberries. (GASP, utter shock) Literally I don't eat most fruits. But I picked these for my family, and they thoroughly enjoyed them. However, I have resolved to give one strawb (as I call them) a good ol' try. This was such a pleasant day; I can't wait for next years' strawberry season, or who knows I might explore other fruits too!
Have you every picked any fruits?
