Brace yourself, encouragement is coming your way, ha. Friends, beware of comparison, its filthy and completely pointless. So don't fall into the comparison game. It simply isn't a game. We all have been created individually with special and particular qualities and characteristics. Someone once told me the importance of grasping how amazing it is to be your own person and loving yourself. She said, " there is only one you in this whole world. One Raiza that thinks the way that Raiza thinks. One Raiza that creates like only Raiza can. One Raiza who can love only the way that Raiza can. One Raiza that can dream and do only like Raiza can." Insert your own name into that quote and see how quickly it can change your mindset. My eyes where opened and my spirit was revitalized when she said those words to me.
Seriously, embrace that. Embrace all of your gimmicks and quirks. Embrace who you are, how you think, love, live, feel, dream, etc. When you comprehend that there is only one(insert your own name here), thats pretty incredible. God created all of us with such individual intricacies that only you have within yourself. Yes, comparison is unfortunately inevitable, however perspective changes everything. Change your perspective and embrace all that you are. Let this be empowering and a catalyst for personal growth. It's so beautiful to know that God knows us individually and He has placed special qualities, gifts, talents, and drives that make each of us who we are.
I've been in situations where competition could've grown. But I valued myself and my friendships that could've gone array and chose not to give in to it. Whatever you feed grows, so chose to grow something else that will bear fruit. Don't compare your process to anyone else's process. Instead surround yourself with people who encourage and push you to utilize the greatness you have within yourself. Don't let comparison dull your shine, choose to be radiant! Stop comparing and start embracing and loving who you were created to be. Confidence happens to be quite charming.
P.S. I'm loving the simplicity of this outfit! I live in a monochromatic wardrobe that I quite enjoy. However, it might be time to ease my way into color, since it is Spring after all!
