Denim Skirt for Days
Hello everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I just came back from Fall break, however it wasn't much of a break with so much work and studying. But it was good nonetheless. My friend once told me this, "Dress best, test best!" At first I thought she was being sarcastic but she wasn't, it was quite funny. I find this to be very true in a sense. If you feel great about yourself and look great, you get a sort of boost in your confidence. With that boost of confidence you get a jump on your day and feel like you can conquer anything that the day brings. Tis true.
I absolutely loved styling this look, It is pretty effortless and chic. If you haven't noticed by now, my wardrobe mostly consists of black, whites, grays, and stripes. I'm a lover neutral colors with the occasional pop of blue and leather. Trends that I've come across lately are high-neck tops and button front skirts. Remember when denim skirts were a thing? Mini skirts and long skirts that your mom made you wear, oh goodness. Yes, I remember wearing a good mini or two. Thank the Lawd those days are over! Welp, these babies are making a comeback, thankfully they are none of the above. This Chicwish skirt is perfection! It's high-waisted so it hides all the good things, you know that food baby that comes out at least two times a day. I paired it with my favorite high-neck striped top to add height and dimension. Simple things like a good skirt can become a staple piece in your closet. Since it is denim, it can replace an outfit with jeans and it matches with pretty much anything. This skirt is such a transitional piece that can easily be worn with a cropped sweater for the cooler fall weather. The possibilities are endless my friends!
