Aventura Hotel Staycation
In August I had the opportunity to go to the grand opening and walkthrough of new addition to the Universal Orlando Hotels, The Aventura Hotel! Also the newest addition to the stunning Orlando skyline! Fast forward, I was invited back for a little staycation at Universal’s Aventura Hotel! It was so incredible to return to this Hotel and actually see it alive! I remember being one of the first people to enter this hotel the day before it was opened to the public, and now here it was in all of its glory full of so much life and bustle! It was truly remarkable! Keep reading to follow along my staycation, learn more and see more of Universal’s Aventura Hotel.
Check in was such a breeze with the friendliest staff! The lobby itself is breathtaking with its sleek polished concrete floor and modern minimalistic decor. I love. My brother joined me on this trip and once we got our room keys we headed up to the 16th floor (all the way at the top! Bar 17 Bistro is on the 17th floor- so we were all the way up!) I am scared of heights but I am a sucker for higher rooms with stunning views! Once inside the room, I couldn’t get over the floor to ceiling windows with a view of the Orlando skyline and the Universal Orlando Theme Parks! One of my favorite parts of the room, apart from the floor to ceiling windows, was the tablet that is found in every room. It is catered to you, and with that table you can control the lights, temperature, check out, order pizza, check out information about Universal’s theme parks, and the amenities that Aventura Hotel has to offer, as well as control the entertainment (I totally linked my Netflix account and watched Friends!) Some of the amenities include: Complimentary wifi, an insane pool, fire pit, virtual reality game room, on site Universal Studios Store, Free bus transportation to the them parks, and early access to the theme parks for resort guests. We ended our day grabbing some pizza from the Urban Pantry and visiting Bar 17 Bistro to catch the sunset!
The next morning we woke up early, had some yummy breakfast and caught a bus to the theme parks! We visited both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. My favorite rides include: The Revenge of the Mummy, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, The Incredible Hulk and The Forbidden Journey! If you have a Park-to-Park pass taking the Hogwarts Express from Kingcross station to Hogsmead is a must! Before heading back to the Aventura Hotel, we made a pit stop at Voodoo Doughnut (so yummy- and i’m not a doughnut fan at all!!) Once back at Universal’s Aventura Hotel we got ready for dinner and headed up to Bar 17 Bistro to catch the sunset once again and enjoy my favorite Braised Pork Belly Bar Buns- must try! Aventura Hotel is truly perfect for a weekend getaway, vacation, staycation-you don’t want to to miss this new addition to the beautiful Orlando skyline!
Special thank you to the Loew’s Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort team and Universal’s Aventura Hotel for hosting us.
