Hello everyone, I am back from my unintentional hiatus due to my insane graduation week. It has been a long time coming and an arduous journey, but I can finally say that I am officially a Southeastern University Nursing School graduate (and from the 1st graduating class of BSN nurses)!! YAYAYAYAY x a million!!! As mentioned before and probably many times, Nursing School as been pretty much the hardest thing I have been through, mentally, spiritually, and physically. It has challenged me in ways that I wasn't expecting. I have no idea how I did it, but I did walk across that graduation stage and got my 1 second of fame-haha! (Mama, I made it!) I am 100% sure that I did not and could have not done this alone. God was with me, he gave me supernatural wisdom, patience, intelligence, favor, and sleep. The classes were long and trying, clinicals were fun (sometimes), long, and draining, the homeowners and busy work was too much, the simulation lab was sleep depriving and pretty cool, and the classmates were interesting but always there to help. It sounds like I am complaining, and boy did I during these past years in university. However, it is done! Those obstacles, late long nights, projects, and clinicals are what shaped the nurse that I am and the one that I will grow and learn to become. I am thankful for learning about science in a Christian environment and learning how to heal and care for humans with wholehearted love. I will always cherish the memories that have been engraved along this path. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey with me. Thank you for everyone who has encouraged me not to give up. Thank you to my family and friend, and my bosses who allowed me to pursue my career. Thank you to all of my readers, followers, and fellow roses for supporting me in this journey! My heart is full.
Can you believe it?! I am a nurse!! I still have to take my NCLEX (boards) to get my license and the R.N. credentials after my name. This shall be the hardest test I take, but I can do it. God has always proven faithful, He will carry out His sweet promises for my life. I believe it so. "What's next for you Raiza", you may ask? After taking my boards, I will be working at the best mother baby hospital in the state of Florida. I was meant to work with babies and I am so blessed to have this opportunity. You are looking at your newest Mother Baby nurse! I do plan on furthering my education and becoming a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and working in the NICU with hight risk pregnancies and deliveries. What an honor it is to be able to bring joy, hope, and grace to these families and babies! The BEST IS YET TO COME! Man, these words have never been so real in my life then now. I would be lying to you if I didn't tell you that I wasn't scared. Of course I am! Growing up scared the crap out of me. However, I know who I belong to and I know who orchestrates my life, so I relax and just live. I will be the best freaking nurse that I can become! Nurse, blogger, and traveler! Next up....maybe a husband LOL (Leaving you with a big ol' laugh).
P.S. Out dream yourself! Nothing that you dream or fathom is out of reach, if you go after it and put in the work!
